Dr. Kenneth Golden

Dr. Kenneth M. Golden has journeyed seven times to Antarctica and ten times to the Arctic to study the effects of climate change on sea ice. A mathematician by training, he was selected in in 2011 as a Fellow of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics for “extraordinary interdisciplinary work on the mathematics of sea ice.” In 2014, Golden was elected as a Fellow of The Explorers Club, joining this select group of those who have distinguished themselves by directly contributing to scientific knowledge through geographical exploration. He is a Professor of Mathematics and Adjunct Professor of Bioengineering at the University of Utah.
